To whom it may concern,

I am a FLT/Attendant with United Airlines and had flown the Honolulu to Auckland route from the date of the PAN AM acquisition in 1986 through 1991 . I would like to comment on the fact that the spraying  with the mandatory 4 airosol spray cans (2 agriculture airport agents spraying 1 can in each hand from the back of the airplane through the front and into the cockpit) also the belly of the airplane with closed doors and a saturation duration of timed 5 minutes. Aircraft Insectiside consisted of:

3 - phenoxybenzyl d-cis& trans 2- 2dimethyl
3 - cyclopropanecarboxlate 1.92%0.08%
Inert Ingredients 98.00%
cis/trans isomer ratio: max25% (+or-)cis
min75% (+or-)trans
This product contains Chlorofluorocarbons 11%12
Other type of Aircraft Insectifide
Phenothrin 2% w/wd 100gr,bet
DO NOT SPRAY ON HUMANS
(Airosol)

After every spraying I was not able to breath properly-my lungs constricted had wheezing, experienced breathlessness, recurrent coughing, sore throat, and chronic bronchitis with chest pains-burning lungs, sinus become swollen and eyes tearing. The Agriculture Dept of New Zealand required a certificate/letter from a Certified Medical Doctor to allow you to deplane  to the jetway prior to spraying, however, that was not always honored, depending how fast your could be at the opening of the one door before they commenced shutting the door and start the spraying. I now experience chronic bronchitis whenever I get a cold-with severe chest pains and sinusitis and twitching neurological problems constantly in both of my legs.
