Hydramethylnon used in a gel bait for fire ants may have permanently injured woman.
Good afternoon,
I would like to know if you are informed about of had heard of home poisoning experiences with the pesticide hydramethylnon. This is a gelbox insecticide to combat the fire ant. There was a pest of these insects in my apartment and they left if for me inhabitable and contaminated. I' m a Dutch young woman of 37 years and I live in the Netherlands (Europe)
I do not know if I can return once these gelboxes are removed to my apartment and if with a lot of ventilation the odour will leave. For the several times I've been exposed to this pesticide I developed serious chemical sensitivities to substances that never bored me before. I know react violently to perfumes and household products and the neurological problems I still had before because of several antidepressant intoxications due to a failing cyctocromes CYP450 systems worsened even more. I didn't return to my apartment since then as I do not want to take the risk. This pesticide method has damaged my nervous system and my immune system.
Are this gel methods less harmful then spraying. If not, I will not take the risk to return and will do anything to get me another home including getting rid of my stock and all my possessions.
Many thanks in advance for answering my mail and the shown interest.
Kind regards,
Karin Mous
