Orkin Employee Permanently Injured
My name is Richard, I worked for Orkin 7 years ago. Ever since I have had some unexplained medical problems. In the last couple of months
I was referred to a neurologist who ordered a battery of tests. one of which was a MRI. They, as of today, believe that
I was chemically poisoned. They say I have the deterioration of the white matter in my brain equal to a 75 year old. I am 36. we are now looking at
disability and SSI as my only solution. Considering finding a attorney that has handled this kind of case before. Please help if you can. Thank you,
Richard
Responses:
Brain deterioration sounds a lot like OP damage. This can be confirmed by SPECT scans. and the best I know in the field is Prof. Gunnar Heuser

There may be a workers comp issue here (that's a nightmare in itself), intentional tort, civil action, social security disability, or state disability. The
CIIN is a good place to start. Also, contact the New York State Dept. of Law at the Attorney General's office in New York City. There are reports out there that might help
you.
The doctors you will need are most likely Environmental Medicine. Unfortunately, damage is usually permanent. The trick is to lessen your exposure and heal what you
can. Stay away from products made with petrochemicals and formaldehyde. Stay away from excitotoxins such as aspartame and msg. Read labels.
Probiotics (R.garden.com) and good quality vitamin C seemed to help. I am only speaking from experience from people who I knew who had to deal with this. I am not a
doctor or lawyer. Also check with an endocrinologist for low Cortisol levels and a hormone work up.
There are lots of books out there on making a safe home. They even sell special reading boxes that don't emit the fumes from the ink.
The Pesticide Education Center in San Francisco, CA may have additional references that might help.
Doris Rapp (Arizona) wrote some very interesting books. There may be food allergies or mold allergies now that the immune system is compromised. It helps to know
what to avoid, then you work on building up your immune system.
If any of this helps, please pay it forward.
