Using pyrethrins and Lindane for head lice may have caused pancreatic problems.
I am being ignored by the doctors that we see they look at me as if I were some deranged mother hoping to grasp at straws but I feel as do some of our local pharmacists that it is not beyond the realm of possibilities Jessica was born a healthy baby a normal pregnancy a normal delivery (No family history of intestinal problems of any kind) she had no health problems whatsoever until she went to a school where lice were rampant We treated her with the Lindane that the Dennison health department gave us we followed the package directions and the tips that the nurses gave us to treat her hair use the comb and check for nits that may be left behind then we washed everything we owned in hot water using bleach laundry soap and pinesol we sprayed every inch of our house and bedding with raid (yes raid like the health department ! told us to do) We did this multiple times (in fact it seemed to be a weekly ritual) Jessica's skin reaction became worse with each treatment and the last few times she complained of a headache and nausea (The health department told us that they would not give lindain to us more that every two weeks so we had to alternate the lindaine treatments with the lindain
Somewhere along this time Jessica became very ill and we took her to the ER at T. M. C. Medical hospital where they said her pancreas was inflamed she has had a problem with her Pancreas ever since and the last four times she has been treated with a product containing pyrethrum within a week to ten days she becomes Ill and has to be hospitalized They have done an exploratory on her pancreas M.R.I.s, C-scans and sonograms all of which show nothing to explain her pancreatic disorder they Can not come up with some kind of explanation or theory of their own why wont they at least entertain the idea! of her having some kind of toxic sensitivity so that now every time s he is exposed to these particular chemicals that her pancreas is affected in some way or that her body has absorbed so much of the chemical that her pancreas is being affected I don't know what to do. I stumbled across your site while trying to do some research on the subject at hand please tell me if you know where I might find more information on the subject of pancreatic disorders that may be brought on by toxins I would be grateful Send all replies to ldyjtexas@aol.com Subject matter Jessica's pancreas
My belief is that my daughter after multi heavy usage at age five became ill with a pancreatic disorder and each time she is infected with lice and treated with current pyrethryn or lindane! e she is hospitalized within a week for pancreatic problems according to the doctors it is a idiopathic pancreatic disorder (unknown cause unknown problem) I have voiced my opinion and they look at me as if I am from mars and either ignore me or tell me they have never heard of such a thing and that it is highly improbable that it is related to any type of pesticide I do not have a clue as to where to do this type of research if at all possible please tell me where I can find something on this particular subject please respond to ldyjtexas@aol.comsubject jessicas pancreas
thank youSend all help and suggestions to ldyjtexas@aol.com Subject matter Jessica's pancreas
