INTELLIGENT CONTROLS FOR CLOTHES MOTHS AND OTHER FABRIC PESTS
These pests normally will not attack clean clothes or fabric.

  1. Be sure to dry clean or wash your clothes before putting them away and they will be pest free. Thoroughly air out dry cleaned clothing before storing in bedroom closet. The chemical odor can cause severe symptoms in some chemically sensitive individuals.**

  2. Routinely clean the entire area with (1 oz. per gallon) Safe Solutions, Inc. Enzyme Cleaner with Peppermint or natural soaps or steam clean.

  3. Mix ½ pound dried rosemary, ½ pound dried mint, ¼ pound dried ginseng and 2 tablespoons cloves and put in cheese cloth bags to be used as sachets. (You should be able to purchase these items at bulk cooking/baking supply stores or health food stores, or find someone who has an herb garden.)

  4. Try sachets of any of the following: dried lemon peels, dried lavender, bay leaves, whole cloves, cedar chips, dried rosemary and mint or whole peppercorns. (Find someone who has a garden to provide the scented herbs or plant them for your own use.)

  5. Lightly dust cracks and crevices lightly with food-grade DE or baking soda or talcum powder or Comet®.

  6. Do not use mothballs in any closet! The Author believes mothballs contain a terribly dangerous and volatile, registered pesticide called paradichlorobenzene that does not control moths, but can harm you.

Dry cleaning fluid contains perchlorethylene, tetra or trichlorethylene which can cause serious medical symptoms in many chemically sensitive individuals. Always try to air out dry cleaned clothing, very thoroughly, prior to bringing it into your home, placing in a closet; always try to avoid putting such clothes in the bedroom. Try to find a cleaners that does not use the toxic chemicals.

If you still have problems, read & The Best Control© or The Best Control II© on CD-ROM.
